Welcome back to campus!  The first two weeks back at school have been a whirlwind of activity in the SBE and there is plenty more to come!!  The SBESS and our clubs have a lot of events coming up and we’re excited to see you join us to celebrate the start of a new school year with us!

The SBESS is currently hiring eight junior and senior positions.  The annual Snow Ball formal is hiring decorations and donations managers and our Corporate Relations team is hiring junior and senior managers to help out with sponsorship efforts.  Applications are due on Friday October 2nd, so download your application and apply today!  Our clubs are also doing a lot of hiring and general membership sign-ups, so keep your eyes on your email every Friday for our SBEweekly newsletter.  There has never been a better time to get involved!

Do you remember the Monopoly man?  Well he’s back and is coming to the SBE!  Thursday October 8th marks the first day of the SBESS’ Monopoly Challenge.  Come join the fun, meet some new friends and compete for prizes. Will you be the next Monopoly Champion? There’s only one way to find out!

We all know how proud we are to be Laurier students, so go ahead and show that school pride by sporting a Laurier SBE hoodie or wow co-op interviewers with an SBE embossed leather padfolio!!  Our SWAG team has been working hard all summer to create a completely new line of SBE branded clothing and merchandise and will be in the Peter’s building in the coming weeks to showcase our newest items.

PRISM is also running their first Technology Forum.  They have gathered a very impressive panel of industry experts to come to Laurier and discuss the role of technology in business.  The forum will be held on October 7th at 2pm in the Maureen Forrester Recital Hall.  Admission is free of charge but attendees must register at the PRISM Customer Service Desk.
